The process
I provide a built-in print shop so you can get these photos on your wall stat. And of course, just 3 weeks after your session, you’ll get a digital gallery with all of the downloadable images ready to go. You’ll be posting it all on Instagram in minutes.
Order your prints & albums!
On the day of, we’ll be looking for blue skies and sunshine (the best way to get my signature photography style that brought you here in the first place). As long as that’s the case, we’ll all show up feeling confident and comfortable. Basking in the sunshine is a definite perk. I just ask that you do your best to be real. I’ll give direction to create the entire image while keeping it true to you.
Take your photos
Once we’re official, we’ll narrow down the location with some of my exclusive recommendations (studio, fields, beach or a hidden locale that is exactly what you were looking for). You’ll also get preparation help from me with tips for getting ready, feedback on putting outfits together that will match your location and other unique ways to personalize your session.
Customize your session
With your session type selected — we’ll get your photos on my calendar with a contract and booking retainer. It’s all taken care of online and is the last order of business before we get to the exciting parts — planning and taking your photos!
Reserve your date
As soon as I hear from you (my contact page is best!), I’ll follow up to verify availability and confirm the package you’re interested in. I’ll also send a link so we can chat on the phone for about 15 minutes to ensure that I’m the right photographer for you.

This is a very important question because the location can influence the look of the session. Picking a location is just like picking your outfits — it needs to represent you. As your photographer, we’ll work together to select a place that either holds meaning for you, or that fits your vision for family photos. I’m a Houston native so my secret weapon is knowing some of the most stunning locations in the area.
Where are we going to take our pictures?
It all comes down to mixing my experience with an understanding of who you are. I take some time at the beginning of our session to keep the camera in my bag, ask your kids about themselves and to break the ice. That way, by the time the camera is out, you won’t have any reservations about relaxing a little more than you expected. That comfort level makes a world of a difference in photos that are tense versus expressive.
How do you take photos that really feel like us?
The photos I take in every session are a bit like the handcrafted recipes a chef might spend hours to create. Every chef wants others to enjoy that meal too, right? Sharing the photos I take is crucial when it comes to giving others a taste of the same experience you had with me. That being said, if you have any concerns over privacy, please let me know prior to booking so that we can customize your contract.
Where will our photos be shared?
This is the kind of day where we’ll let the kids think they’re in charge while we secretly guide them into taking the cutest photos. It’s not a day for discipline, but is instead a day for bribes and stress-free parenting. It’s worth breaking a couple of rules for family photos like these.
What if our kids are a little unruly?
With your trust and my experienced eye — I’ll know exactly when you need some natural posing or candid captures. I’m your guide!

I have a signature editing style with the sole goal of honoring the natural environment. If you like what you see, then we are all set.
We see a lot of over-edited photos with colors that just feel off. How will we avoid that?
For one, I’ll stay out of the way, but be there for every moment, helping and posing when needed.
How will you help us be in the moment?
Romantic and true to life colors would be the start, but ultimately, the one descriptor that encompasses what I do is “real.” Real emotions, real life colors and really personal photos that feel like home.
